Trust chair Julia and legends celebrate Cyrille Regis Memorial Award

May 6, 2023

Trust Chair Julia Regis joined football stars past and present to salute the latest winner of the Cyrille Regis Memorial Award.

Julia linked up with the Liverpool and England legend John Barnes, plus Liverpool’s Women’s Super League Irish international defender Niamh Fahey at the latest Show Racism the Red Card school’s artwork competition at Anfield.

Together they selected a striking piece by talented Buckinghamshire youngster Juliana Mistica from Aylesbury High School.

“This is a great initiative from SRTRC, and we all agreed on the powerful work Juliana entered,” said Julia, who was joined by Cyrille’s sister Nilla on her travels.

“It’s so important for young people to have the platform to continue the conservation about racism and this kind of project provides just that. All the children’s work was inspirational — we keep going forward.”
